The Sanford Garden Club is looking for some new members. If you're interested in obtaining more information, give us a call. You can also attend any of the monthly circle meetings at the Sanford Garden Club.
 
The Sanford Garden Club has been actively improving the Central Florida environment since 1926. The organization serves many purposes in the community, but its roots are in the protection and nourishment of the environment. The men and women who join the Sanford Garden Club do so to stimulate and increase their knowledge of the many aspects of gardening. The protection of native plants and wildlife also is a major objective, as well as encouraging civic planting to better and beautify Central Florida's tomorrow.

We currently have 78 members. We are a member of the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs, Inc., District VII., Deep South Region.
 
The Sanford Garden Club is located at 200 Fairmont Drive, Sanford, Florida 32773, at the corner of Fairmont Drive and 17-92.  We are just about ½ miles South of Lake Mary Blvd. on the East side of 17-92 across Fairmont Drive from Sunland Park. 

We have many different activities scheduled throughout the year. Two of our major annual events are the Seminole Bromeliad and Tropical Plant Society’s Plant Sale in April and again in August on the third weekend of the month, where members display their plants and plant related goods for sale. Proceeds from our events benefit The Wekiva Youth Camp, The Nature Conservatory, Seminole and Volusia Counties 4-H Clubs, “Evil Weevil” Predator Projects for Native Bromeliads, and SEEK.

Other events include garden tea parties, fashions shows, tropical floral arrangement demonstrations, workshops, fund raising dinners, and much more.

No matter what your individual interest, there are programs and activities for you. If you love gardening and wildlife, if you desire to increase your knowledge about nature, if you want a better environment, the Sanford Garden Club is the organization for you.
